What we collect

• Searches and painter lookups: the state, city or painter ID your assistant sends. We use them to answer and don't store them.
• Estimate requests, only when you agree to send one: your name, the phone number and/or email you give, the city and state, your description of the work, your preferred timing, and any painters you chose.
• Usage records for every call: which tool was called, the kind of answer, how long it took, whether it failed, the name of the client software, and the network operator the call came from (usually the company running your assistant). Estimate requests keep the same details. We compare the connecting IP address with our own addresses, to tell our own tests apart, and don't store it.
• Repeat-request checks: a one-way hash of the phone number or email on an estimate request, used to limit repeats.

• To record your estimate request and to learn whether homeowners want this service.
• To keep the service working and prevent abuse.

Who receives it

Cloudflare hosts the connector, stores its data for us, and processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising. We don't send estimate requests to painters: the reply lists licensed painters you can contact yourself. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Estimate requests: deleted automatically 365 days after we receive them.
• Usage records: three months.
• Repeat-request hashes: 2 days.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete an estimate request, email hello@ottobot.agency. Include the request ID from the reply if you have it. Searching needs no personal details, so you can use the connector without sending an estimate request.

Information about painters

Painter details come from state licensing boards' public files: business names, license numbers and status, and the phone number, website and address the board lists. The board's file is the source; if a record is wrong, the board can correct it, and you can also email us.

Children

The connector is not directed at children under 13.
